Japan Man

The Last Man in Japan

Reality Lolicon

It seems that Japan lolicon is under attack. Japanese authorities are starting to crackdown on lolicon and the child gravure business. Japan might have child pornography laws, but they have been incredibly lax. From 2006-2007 alone, over 3 million child gravure photo books have been sold.

But the Japan police are striking back. The police have already shut down a child gravure photo shoot starring a school girl dressed in a really tight-fitting see through swimsuit. Even though these photo shoots aren’t pornography the Japan police is obviously issuing a warning to the lolicon industry. Japan police are also cracking down on lolicon merchandise.

While the lolicon 2D and child gravure business are still going strong, people who like lolicon should definitely be worried. It seems that in the future, more manga will be labeled as “harmful books”. Props to OtakuGen for the interesting info.

Lolicon ロリコン

Lolicon ロリコン means lolita complex in Japanese. Both anime and manga have lolicon works that focus on taboo relationships between teacher and student or brother and sister. Some even have sexual experimentation with children….It is a widespread phenomenon in Japan that is heavily criticized, but it is still around. Japanese dudes like lolicon stuff because they like younger girls. The “kawaii” or “cute” style is uber popular in Japan. Younger girls are seen as the most “kawaii” so some Japanese men are infatuated with them.

If you are a Japan newbie, get used to seeing lolicon images, manga, anime, movies, and other related stuff everywhere. Don’t panic or freak out because you will embarrass yourself and other Japanese people around you. Instead, just pretend like you don’t see it. Mentally block it out of your head if it bothers you. If it doesn’t bother you or you like it, then you will fit right in…..
